My experience

I've worked as a therapist with adults for over 20 years, creating a nurturing environment for people to talk. I have run several groups in the NHS and outside and value the power of group members to support one another.

Working with mothers

Many of the mothers I meet feel stressed, tired, and lonely. The routines and responsibilities of caring for babies and families can feel overwhelming. It often leads mothers to neglect their own needs and feelings.

The importance of compassion 

I specialise in an approach called Compassion Focused Therapy. The main idea is that to have the energy to care for others and juggle competing demands in life, it helps to be caring and compassionate to yourself.
