FAQs

MumSpace is different to many other mothers groups that are around.

It is not about tips or parenting skills. It is about prioritising your needs,

and sharing your experiences, and knowing that you are not alone.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions. Feel free to get in touch

to find out more.

Do I have to speak?

It can feel nerve-wracking to come to a group with new people. There is no pressure to talk. Feel free to come and listen. I'm also happy to answer questions via email or talk about concerns before you come along.

Is the group confidential?

The group is confidential so that everyone feels safe to share. This means that what people share stays in the room.

Do I have to come each week?

No! It can be tough to commit with a baby or kids - life gets in the way. Come for a trial and see how you find it. You can book week by week.

Can fathers or other carergivers
come along?

MumSpace is just for mothers. Fathers and other carers have important roles to play, however the changes that mothers undergo physically and emotionally are unique so this is a space just for them.

Do my children need to be a certain age for me to attend?

It doesn't matter what age your children are - you are welcome to come and share your experiences.

Can I bring my baby?

You can bring your baby or young child, as long as they will not understand the group (up to14 months). You don't have to bring a child - feel free to come if you don't have any children with you.

What if my child is crying
or I need to feed them?

Don't worry - during the group, you may need to look after your baby and that is fine - everyone is in the same boat. There are some toys to keep them interested and entertained.

How much does it cost?

There is a suggested donation of £15 as we want MumSpace to be accessible to all mums. This means that it is free to come along for anyone who can't afford to pay. You still need to book online and can select £0.
